About a month ago we published a photo of some flowers we liked and which were planted in one of the Lake Shawnee beds. We asked for help in identifying them and almost immediately Mike wrote that they are blue balloon or Chinese bell flowers (platycoden grandiflorus). Not only that, Mike and Sally located some on sale in a Lawrence nursery and graciously secured five of them which we planted in our backyard "ranch." It took some time for them to adapt to their new home but they have and are blooming nicely as this photo testifies.
Thanks Mike and Sally!!
