I e-mailed some of you this morning with the news that Shawna had a miscarriage last night. I said that, while we all knew that Nick and Shawna having a baby right now wasn't the best of ideas for various reasons and while we all knew that everything happens for a reason, we were all pretty sad.
Karen replied to my e-mail saying that Mom gets to know this little one before any of us. I don't know that she (Karen) was aware of how much her words helped but they really did touch my heart.
I know for a fact that Mom is cradling my little Grandbaby at this very moment. (And we all know how very much she loves holding babies!!)
